Well of course the incredible James Bay who has already started to become recognized is defiantly going to become a huge artist in 2015. James is a British indie pop singer- songwriter. He has already been awarded with this years Brits Critic's Choice Award and is following in the footsteps of previous winners such as Adele, Jessie J and Emeli Sande who have all been very successful. The singer has already performed to large crowds as he has been the support act for Tom Odell and John Newman. His single 'Hold Back The River' has become an instant hit and is now loved by the nation. I can't wait for James to release his debut album 'Chaos And The Calm' which is expected to be released 23rd March.
Royal Blood are a British rock duo who have been around since 2013. They have already performed at many events and released music, however at the end of 2014 they hit the headlines for their single 'Ten Tonne Skeleton' and then shortly afterwards announced a UK tour. This year the band will be supporting Foo Fighters along with Iggy Pop during their 2015 UK & USA tour which will be huge for the pair. The NME awards were on the 18th February and Royal Blood were awarded 2 awards for Best New Band and Best Live Band.
Florrie is amazingly talented British pop singer, drummer and songwriter. Florrie is another artist who has been around for a number of years. She recently supported the Amity Fest tour which was ran by some massive British Youtubers such as Zoella and Marcus Butler. As well as this Florrie teamed up with H&M to produce a retro visual for her new single 'Too Young To Remember' which is now being played on Radio 1 and I think it will be a huge hit in the upcoming weeks! I can't wait for the rising star to release more music.
Lastly Haim are an American pop rock band consisting of 3 sisters and a drummer. Haim is actually one of Ellie's favourite bands and they were awarded with an NME in 2014 for Best International Band. They have featured on the original soundtrack of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay- Part 1 and they contributed to vocals on Calvin Harris' track 'Pray to God'. They were nominated for Best New Artist at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards and the band are set to support Taylor Swift at selected dates on The 1989 World Tour in the summer.
I can't wait for the amazing music set to be released in 2015 and I think British music especially is great right now!
